Today is the day I transition my boys clothes from Summer to Fall. Tag along with me and chat about storage, saving money and how I get as much time out of my kids clothes while I check this task off of my to-do list. It’s not fancy or minimal, but it works for us. Thanks for watching! 😊
P.S. It’s easy to buy and sell on Mercari. Get up to $20 when you get started. Use code TEYTPF when you sign up with my link:

Love this! I get hand me downs for my son and so I have one massive tote in our garage and then one smaller under his bed that has the next season in it. My daughter doesn’t get hand me downs so she has one out of season box under her bed.
I LOVE the Shaker sweater youre wearing, do you remember where you got it? It looks like the sleeves are really long and I have issues with long sleeves never being long enough!
That’s what I do too, I buy one or two sizes bigger so the clothes will last longer. When it comes to winter boots, I buy a bigger size so the boots will last for two winters.
When I found that GAP runs a little bigger than Old Navy, I started stalking clearance deals for the next season when my oldest was little – now our struggle is that there really needs to be a 7 because 8 is just huge and a 6 is just too small.
Also I rarely have pants to pass down – I seriously just wish we could return to the days of reinforced knees (I worked in Sears in college and the parents that shopped there swore that it was the last place that sold pants with good knees for boys 😢)
I mostly do “transitions” so my 7 year old won’t put on shorts on a hot day or jackets in summer, but I do put away the thickest, winter ones. Just pulled them out since it’s getting cold and realized yet again, how spoiled my eldest son has been by my mom compared to his siblings. Who needs 4-5 size 8 jackets? They’re all great for winter, but I don’t need to hoard them. 😅🙄 His dad is 6’2″, so the kid is growing so much he doesn’t fit in last year’s winter jacket, so had to get a new one, and found a great 4 in one. (Both inner and outer jackets are reversible!) Gotta love Walmart! (He’s 10, but because of height, and difficulty in finding husky sizes, is in 14-16!)
